Protection Error

(Windows) This error indicates that the database server details entered when the setup was executed don't match the details currently saved in the database connection file (web.config or client.cfg). To solve it, run the GXportal Tools (Startup - Programs - GXportal 5.0 - GXportal Tools), enter the correct database server details, select the Update Registry option and copy the web.config (generated in the tools directory) to the backend directory.
(Linux) This error indicates that the database server details entered when the setup was executed don't match the details currently saved in the database connection file (client.cfg). To solve it, run the gxpgenconnfiles.sh script located in the install directory. This file creates the client.cfg file in the install directory, which must then be copied to the backend and frontend directories.

NOTE: The files generated by the tool must be renamed by removing the extension indicating the directory they belong to (".backend" or ".frontend").

Another possible cause is the one mentioned in SAC 30161.
