| | | | How to configure load to contents demand? |
This was the training.genexus.com site case where, for instance in Tutorials page, a list of clustered videos is presented.
So when a click is done over the button in that right moment the load of contents that have been published in that group is done, that is to say, the content load is done by demand, which avoids doing it at the beginning when the page is displayed and, therefore, much more contents are displayed within times accepted by our users.
How has it been achieved from the design point of view with GXPortlet?
Basically each group of contents is a sector created from a GXportlet content and each of these sectors have been configured to appear as collapsed and with the “Load on expand” property set to “Yes”, to perform in that way, that is to say, when the user expands it to see the sector, in that moment the load of the content list begins.
These properties are defined within the sector properties in the “collapsing group”.
Besides, in the center of the page, a GXportlet has been configured to show the detailed content so as to select a piece of content, only the center of the page is reloaded. How to achieve this is explained in How to expand the content on the same page?.
