Roles are grouped as follows:
Frontend Roles

List of roles to access the site, these are defined freely. When the site is created is initialized with the Unknown and Registered role.

The role of Frontend Content Manager is used to give permissions to users who will edit content directly from the site. You must to assign permissions over what types of content can be edited.
Administration Roles

Web Administrator. This role can carry out all the portal administration tasks.

Content Administrator. This role is in charge of managing the definition of the content types. It is also enabled to maintain content outside the workflow process.

Portal Designer. This role access the Design and Navigation Administration application

Community administrator. This role is in charge of managing the communities’ applications.

Security Manager: It is responsible for managing users, roles and permissions
Workflow Roles

Author. This role is in charge of entering new contents as well as modifying the existing ones.

Group Editor. This role is in charge of approving or rejecting a content that have been entered for a specific content group.

General Editor. Like the group editor, this role is in charge of approving or rejecting the content that has been entered by the authors or digitizers of any content management group.

Channel Administrator. This role authorizes or rejects the publication of content within the pages assigned to the correspondent channel.

General Channel Administrator. This role has the power to authorize or reject the publication of any content.

Translator. In case the content that has been entered needs to be translated, this role is in charge of performing the translation.

Translation Editor. In case the content is sent to be translated, this role is in charge of approving or rejecting what has been entered by the translator.

General Translation Editor. Idem translation editor but for all the languages

Workflow administrator. Displays the information of the processes instances and take actions such as abortion, revive, suspend, continue, etc.
