How to Use Your Own Domain
When creating a website with GXportal Online, we provide you with the domain namesite.gxportal.net
To use your own domain name on your site hosted by GXportal Online, you will need to have a paid plan and follow the steps below:
- You need to have your own or a third-party DNS server. In the DNS configuration, edit the record type "CNAME" so that it points to "cloud.gxportal.com."
- From the GXportal backend, menu options Design -> Domains, the domain has to be correctly defined. For example, for the GXportal website the domain is: www.gxportal.com and in Security -> Secure protocol: Yes
- When writing other domains, to redirect to the domain defined in the previous step, define the corresponding domains from the Alias option in the same interface. For example, for the GXportal website this Alias is defined: gxportal.com
